| Rolling Thunder Car Club was
re-established in 2005 after a break of about 5 years. On
a suggestion by a former member about getting the club
started up again, club president Rick Desjardins started
contacting friends and former members and asked if they
would be interested in getting the club up and running
again.
In the summer of 2006 we had our first car show on a
cool rainy day in July at Lower Reach Park in Smiths
Falls. We had about 35 vehicles show up the day of the
show. Now our car show has an average count of about 250
vehicles and counting.
Rick Desjardins has been president since the club
restarted and Lyall McKay has been vice-president.
Brenda Stevenson has been our treasurer and secretary
during this time period.
We have some long time sponsors who have been with us
since the beginning and we appreciate their commitment to
our club. We hope everyone who has been to one of our
shows has enjoyed themselves and will continue to come
back year after year.
